Record of the day's ride: https://ridewithgps.com/trips/215259779

This day was the fifth anniversary of the completion of my 90-day 4,500-mile solo bike trip in 2019.

The previous night's dinner consisted of a salad and a large pizza. I ate five of the pizza's eight pieces and ate the remaining three pieces for breakfast.

I adjusted my left brake lever by rotating it slightly outward.

The picture below shows an interesting rock formation I saw...

...but during most of the ride there was too much of nothin'.

I think I've heard stories about the early pioneers going crazy as they traveled across the west. I can understand how that could happen.

The three and one half miles into Atlantic City consisted of a road of bedrock and gravel which trashed my heel pads. I walked about half the distance. The picture shows the best part of the road.

I spent the night in an unheated cabin without electricity at Wild Bill's Bed & Breakfast. The climb to my cabin was so steep I needed Wild Bill to help me push my bike up the hill. Next to my cabin was a structure about the size of my cabin with a shower and electric outlets.

I had dinner at Atlantic City Mercantile. When I asked my waitress about the Atlantic City she said it was an old mining town frozen in time.

After dinner I enjoyed ice cream and cake and conversation with Wild Bill in his gazebo. He's quite a character! Bill told me he would depart early in the morning but would have breakfast waiting for me.
